Enrique Liberman Was Interviewed by The Financial Times on the Role of Art Funds in the Art Market.

The chair of Liberman Canna LLP Art Law + Art Funds practice, Enrique Liberman, was interviewed on the floor of the Armory Show in New York on the increasing role of art investment funds in the art market.  In addition to discussing the characteristics of, and challenges facing, art funds, the article sought to demonstrate the economics behind the art as an investment and not just an emotional asset. 

According to Mr. Liberman, “art is an alternative asset class, it’s not a collectible…It’s an important inflationary hedge and can produce significant returns, often better than the [stock] market.”
